Its spring and time to clean out the old, and usher in the new. The dead grass renews itself; the leaves on the trees begin to turn green, the flowers bloom. I love spring. The first thing I do as soon as they come out in the store is buy a hyacinth…..I have a pink one on my desk right now. I love the soft pastel colors, and the beautiful smell. Each of us has a favorite flower… A friend of mine loves red roses, another loves gardenias, another marigolds. . My favorites are Peonies, hyacinth and lilacs. Does that make my friends right, and me wrong? Does that make a Rose less beautiful, or a tulip…less a tulip? Each flower has its own amazing smell, look and shade of color. Each person has their own look, their own style, their own shades of traits and character. Celebrate your differences…..Stand proud of your body, your looks, your mind, your personality. A gardenia was meant to be a gardenia…..A Peony was meant to be a peony. They do not spend their day in the garden going: Gosh, I wish I were at tulip….. No, they grow and bloom in all their beauty. They stand out in the garden as to say….Am I not beautiful…just the way I am?
We need to stand out in our own garden, and say: Am I not beautiful…just the way I am!!!
